Working with what they like to call, “nature’s art” Santo DeSpirt creates custom-made granite and marble Countertops, Islands, Fireplaces and more using their “Old World” techniques.
Santo C. DeSpirt is a third generation tile and stonecutting business. Santo and his wife Laura opened the current business in 1990.
When visiting their showroom in Agawam not only will you meet Santo and Laura but you’ll see some of the most beautiful natural stone on earth that comes from deep inside the ground in Brazil, Italy, Spain and many other countries. Imagine this stone, some of it centuries old, as a countertop or table top in your home. And every piece is unique making your creation a one-of-a-kind that you will treasure for years to come.

The Despirt Difference SANTO'S PLEDGE We Strongly recommend you view your slabs before cutting to understand the "NATURAL CHARACTERISTICS" such as fisssurs, pitholes, natural marks and veining that are common to your stone. All bathroom vanities and kitchen countertops are custom made to meet your specific applications. All countertops are templated. We scribe to your wall to insure a perfect fit. Sink cut-outs and cooktop cut-outs are all reinforced with stainless steel rods to add strenth and durability to your tops. Seams are straight cut and often by a biscuit to provide a perfect seam. A next day call back to dress and buff out the seam is required. Backsplash and window sills may require a second day visit as well. Each and every stone that leaves Santo C. DeSpirt Marble and Granite, Inc. is impregnated with a silicone based polymer that penetrates deep into the stone to provide added protection against staining. LAURA'S CORNER For optimum stone maintenance: I suggest using STONETECH Professional Cleaner/Conditioner, for all your natural stone care needs. Please do not use harsh cleaners (i.e. Comet Cleanser, Bleach, Formula 409, Windex, ect.) Your daily stone care needs should be met with mild soap and water. Also, when installing sink or faucets please do not use "Plumber's Putty". Oils in the putty will leach into the stone. I suggest using a Clear Silicone instead. Vistit Our Showroom !
